We are seeking a talented Corporate Counsel to join our Global Entertainment Legal team. In this role, you will support Amazon MGM Studios' distribution, marketing, and ancillary rights initiatives. You'll work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise to lawyers and business affairs executives across Studios.

Navigate and advise on acquisition and distribution-related agreements for Studios' films and other entertainment properties. Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements related to distribution, advertising, marketing, promotion, and publicity of Studios' content. Draft and revise contest/sweepstakes rules, regulations, and release forms. Evaluate, negotiate, and draft agreements for the exploitation of ancillary rights across various product and cross-platform categories. Serve as a key legal liaison with Studios' franchise management team. Perform and review rights research, advising on rights issues including underlying rights and talent.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of legal experience Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent Legal experience in licensing, marketing, and distribution within an entertainment law firm or in-house legal department of a motion picture or television company Familiarity with motion picture production, financing, distribution, acquisition, and talent agreements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of relevant legal experience Strong understanding of content distribution, marketing, and ancillary rights exploitation Experience with international entertainment law Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
