Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr The Senior Technical Designer will be involved in the production garment cycle from SMS to TOP fit stages. They will help with fitting garments, while executing design intent and maintaining brand standards following the directions of the Production Team and Technical Design Managers. They will help to aid with technical expertise in garment fit, construction, and manufacturing. Communicating clearly and professionally with design/production teams to adhere to merchandising calendars to maintain production deadlines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Position will focus on assisting the production team to develop clear and concise tech packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with design intent Take ownership of designated styles from SMS to TOP fit stages, and update tech packs as needed for fitting and review Accurately measure garments before fittings Attend and participate designated fit sessions and assist in making corrections Ability to update tech packs with accurate construction callouts/details, specs, BOMs, and label pages to give clear, concise corrections for our vendors/partners Daily communication with domestic and import vendors/partners to solve production and quality issues, fit comments, as well as update tech packs with construction and pattern corrections Finalize production tech packs with fit comments, measurements, grading, and label pages Quality control/Inspect bulk production size sets to check compliance and submit reports on findings Support Technical Design team to meet calendar deadlines and due dates Interact daily with cross-functional partners (Design, Production, Web, VPR, Logistics, and Sales teams) Work closely and report to Production Managers Requirements: Minimum 7+ years of experience in Technical Design Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Patternmaking or equivalent experience preferred Preferred work experience in womenswear RTW Proficiency in garment fit, construction, and specs Knowledge of patternmaking and pattern corrections Experience working and communicating with overseas vendors/partners Handle multiple projects, and work quickly in a deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality Strong sense of urgency, organizational skills, technical skills, & detail-oriented Clear, effective written and verbal communication Must be able to take direction, and work independently while as well as collaboratively Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Design Industries Retail Apparel and Fashion
