Technical Writer Job at Larsen & Toubro in Peoria

We are seeking a Technical Writer to create service manuals for construction, forestry, and mining machinery.

Responsibilities:

1. Write, create, and update content for technical manuals for forestry and mining products.
2. Understand the technical requirements and scope of documents, and write content for service manuals.
3. Adhere to all technical writing guidelines.
4. Proofread own content.
5. Incorporate safety warnings, checks, and graphic requirements.
6. Create graphics and illustration requests for own tasks.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in technical writing.
2. Strong knowledge of technical documentation and content management system (CMS) tools like Arbortext Editor, Oxygen XML, etc.
3. Knowledge of forestry/mining products and mechanical assemblies is an added advantage.
4. Strong personal drive with a can-do attitude and the ability to work extended periods without supervision.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Salary: The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 to $115,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based on several factors including relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
