Job Summary: Are you a detail-oriented CAD Designer with a passion for turning ideas into reality? Join us to create and modify technical drawings and blueprints across a variety of industries, including oil and gas, chemicals, and power plants. Your expertise in 2D/3D design and collaboration with engineers, architects, and clients will drive innovative and precise solutions that meet both safety standards and client expectations.
Job Duties: Produce CAD deliverables, including P&IDs, general arrangements, detailed fabrication drawings, and 2D/3D designs and models. Interpret project data and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure technical drawing packages meet specifications. Oversee project deliverables, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and schedule requirements. Communicate regularly with project engineers and stakeholders to align designs with contract requirements. Work alongside Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to support pre-contract and contract deliverables. Use Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to create accurate designs and layouts. Ensure proper equipment and component layouts to facilitate seamless construction and installation. Support the development and maintenance of a design database, including components, model blocks, and standards. Stay current with software updates and industry trends to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality practices.
Qualifications: Proven expertise in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Experience in skidded equipment design, piping layout, P&IDs, and other industry-specific applications. Requires a two-year or four-year technical degree with emphasis on CAD design, drafting, engineering, or a related field. First-hand design experience of pumping & metering skids, P&IDs, and use of 2D and 3D design tools with familiarity in the power or process industries. Requires a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated design experience with evidence of increasing responsibilities, design proficiency, and innovative design skills. Requires significant experience with the design of piping systems, pipe components, gas and liquid routing, mechanical components (pumps, valves, instrumentation), including familiarity with electrical equipment and controls in a given design; and structural/ductwork components.
