Who We Are:  The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association was founded in 1953.  The mission of the OHHA is to preserve, protect, promote, and serve the entire Standardbred industry in Ohio and beyond.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and highly skilled Multimedia Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multimedia production, including video, audio, graphics, and animation. This role involves producing and editing engaging multimedia content for various platforms, such as websites, social media, presentations, and marketing campaigns. As a Multimedia Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence and communicating our message through dynamic, high-quality multimedia content.

Key Responsibilities:

  •   Multimedia Content Creation:
    • Produce, shoot, and edit videos, audio recordings, and digital graphics for various marketing materials, internal communications, and social media content.
    • Create and develop visual assets to support video projects, promotional videos, and presentations.
       
  • Video, Audio, and Podcast Production and Editing:
    • Plan, script, shoot, and edit video content for promotional purposes, including racing videos, commercials, and event coverage.
    • Collaborate with staff to create engaging videos that tell compelling stories and align with the OHHA’s mission.
    • Ensure the final video content is optimized for various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, website).
    • Record and edit podcasts, voiceovers, and other audio content for internal and external communications.
    • Manage audio post-production, including sound mixing, mastering, and editing to ensure professional-quality output.
  • Project, Equipment, and Software Management and Collaboration:
    • Manage multiple multimedia projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
    • Collaborate with staff to understand their content needs and deliver creative multimedia solutions.
    • Provide recommendations on trends, technologies, and tools to enhance the quality and impact of multimedia content.
    • Maintain and manage multimedia production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio devices, and editing software.
    • Stay up to date with the latest multimedia tools and techniques to ensure high-quality production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Multimedia, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in multimedia production, including video production, editing, and audio editing.
  • Proficiency in multimedia software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of video and audio editing, motion graphics, animation, and sound mixing.
  • Experience creating multimedia content for various digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new trends and technologies.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel.  You should be prepared and able to travel to all regions of the state, with some overnight stays, mainly in the summer months, but throughout the year.  The balance of time is spent in the Grove City office.  Ability to work in indoor and outdoor climates.  Ability to sit for long periods and work on a computer. 
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with live streaming or broadcast production including live sports camera experience.
  • Horse racing, harness racing preferred, knowledge.
