Summary:

Candidate will design creative promotional, branding and communication materials - both for online and printed media - for Aberdeen Community Theatre/Young People's Theatre/Capitol Cinema programming.

Reports To:

  • Artistic/Managing Director

Duties:

  • Maintain regular office hours
  • Design production-related materials including but not limited to posters, social media posts, website content, production programs, on-screen images, tickets and passes, and t-shirt designs
  • Design branding materials including but not limited to theater logos, cinema logos, show logos, letterhead, banners, etc.
  • Design mailing materials including but not limited to postcards, fundraising appeal letters, thank you letters, subscriber letters, invitations, etc.; coordinate mailings, ensuring compliance with bulk mailing standards and processes
  • Design the ACT MARQUEE monthly newsletter; coordinating distribution via bulk mail and online delivery
  • Maintain and update mailing lists to reflect changes in name, address, etc.; ensuring accuracy and compliance with data management practices
  • Regularly update and maintain the AberdeenCommunityTheatre.com and CapitolCinema.net websites with production/film information and content
  • Design Capitol Theatre Improvement Campaign fundraising materials including brochures, signage and presentation images
  • Produce "pre-roll" packages for Aberdeen Community Theatre, Capitol Cinema, outside display screens; includes video elements and regularly updated images
  • Produce various online forms, including but not limited to RSVP forms, audition forms, questionnaires, etc.
  • Operate within budgetary constraints
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Superior writing/proofreading skills
  • Computer software proficiency:
    • Adobe Creative Cloud Applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro
    • DaVinci Resolve
    • Canva
    • Wix
    • MailChimp
    • Microsoft Offie: Word, Excel'

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with related experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work some nights/weekends as needed
