SENIOR LEVEL GRAPHIC DESIGNER (Midtown East)

Established New York Design & Packaging Company is searching for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer will assist the Sales and Marketing teams, completing design for a wide range of High End Luxury Clients.

JOB TITLE: GRAPHIC DESIGNER with Experience of PRINTING and PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE. A big plus knowing as much as possible for Production of all Design applications as well as Printing Guidelines to follow for Perfect Results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designing Artwork for Custom Designs for Clients.
2. Taking Customer’s Designs and requests and implementing them into pre-set templates for print.
3. Saving Production files for Printing of all packaging Products.
4. Creating New graphics and designs for New Products.
5. Social Media, Including Ads, Marketing collateral.
6. Production of a variety of print ads, email blasts, marketing collateral, internal documentation, print/web.

Must be able to work independently on assignments in a deadline-sensitive environment, as well as collaboratively with other staff and be a team player. Looking for someone with Teaching experience and the ability to update to the latest applications of software and new techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and 3-5+ years design experience in packaging or retail design.
2. Teaching Degree or Certificate in Teaching Design/Production and Printing Skills.
3. Sketching and illustration skills required.
4. Sophisticated sense of typography, applied color, composition, and visual hierarchy required.
5. Previous experience with still digital photography, styling, and lighting.
6. Project Management skills/ Teaching and Mentoring.
7. Expert knowledge of all relevant Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat). Flash knowledge a big plus.
