Our famous Tech client is looking for a Visual Designer to join their team for a fully remote assignment!
The Motion Designer/Animator will scale their Product Motion system across UI/UX surfaces and activate brand in product experiences in close partnership with Product Designers and Brand leadership. They will be responsible for delivering beautiful, high-craft animations from expressive animated illustrations, to subtle moments of delight, to functional UI prototyping.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product Designers, Art Directors and Illustrators to define and refine how our brand and animation can be used to bring clarity, humanity, and inspiration to key moments in our product experiences.
  • Deliver beautiful, high-craft animations from expressive animated illustrations, to subtle moments of delight, to functional UI prototyping.
  • Think systematically about creative problem-solving in order to scale your creative efforts to serve thousands of internal stakeholders and tens of millions of customers.
  • Confidently communicate your decision-making and the ideas of the team to a broad audience of internal stakeholders, including presenting your creative work to company leadership.
  • Manage multiple high-stakes projects and deadlines efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced product environment.
  • Produce strong conceptual and expressive animations as well as functional animations that are engaging and reflect a cohesive brand aesthetic.
  • Generate ideas, inspire your teammates, give and receive feedback, and critique respectfully.
  • Meet multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and keep projects moving forward.

Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in a digital company, agency, or studio working professionally as a 2D motion designer and animator.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and animating complex and expressive sequences that include vector illustrations and icons to prototyping UI designs with functional motion with subtle delights.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally between product design, engineering, and to ensure that brand experiences in product ship efficiently and with a high standard of quality.
  • Excellent visual taste and familiarity with both historical and current animation and illustration trends, both in and out of the tech world.
  • Able to implement feedback with ease and in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A link to an online portfolio showcasing your work is required to be considered for this role (include link on your resume).
  • Experience working with large scale brands, or within large brand systems.
  • Experience creating and optimizing animations for digital products.
  • Highly proficient in the full Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Expert in After Effects.
  • Good knowledge of Cinema 4D or similar 3D animation software.
  • Good Knowledge of Premiere.
  • Good Knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Good Knowledge of Illustrator.
  • Good Knowledge of Figma.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Sketch
  • Origami Studio or any other prototyping tool
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field or equivalent training required.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $77.00 to $85.55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
