The Role:
We are seeking a temporary Associate Editor to join our client Global Ratings. The role will involve editing reports of varying length under deadline pressure and publishing these to our clients Global Ratings’ proprietary and third-party online platforms. The reports will primarily be rating action news releases, credit analyses on companies, analytical reports, and market commentaries. You will also be responsible for producing charts, infographics, and presentations. These reports present our clients Global Ratings opinion and must adhere to the highest standards of clarity and accuracy.


Work Hours:
11am - 7pm ET after training; 10am - 6pm ET during training

The Team/Business:
Our clients Global Ratings’ Editorial team consists of about 100 staff in offices and working remotely around the world. You will work closely with other editors as well as designers, rating analysts, and operations specialists to transform complex research, data, and analytical concepts into compelling publications.


Responsibilities:

  1. Edit and publish reports that are accurate and clear on tight deadlines
  2. Adhere to the in-house style guide and article formats
  3. Create graphics using standard graphics software tools (Excel, Visio) to branding specifications
  4. Support editorial team with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

  1. Min. 2 yrs. hands-on editing experience
  2. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a discipline related to corporate finance
  3. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  4. Ability to collaborate effectively
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

Desirable:

  1. Interest in financial markets
  2. Awareness of our client
  3. Experience in editorial production
  4. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Note:
Editing testing will be administered as a prerequisite. Results will determine if candidate receives an interview request.
