St. Matthew Catholic School is seeking a part-time, possible FT with job share, music teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. Our music teacher will develop a caring, Christian, and positive musical learning environment for the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development of our students. He/She will develop lesson plans using elementary music curriculum for grades PK - 6, formulate classroom instruction, and facilitate learning for all students. Our teacher will maintain the student's academic progress through the year and maintain a line of communication with parents, students, and school staff.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified applicants will be skilled in music, have an understanding of music theory and Catholic music traditions, and possess strong classroom instruction to meet the unique and diverse needs of our students and school community. The music teacher will be comfortable collaborating to plan and practice the music for weekly Mass with all students as well as continuing the tradition of strong fine and performing arts offerings for our students.
Education and Experience
* Nebraska teaching certificate (or in process of becoming certified)
* Safe Environment requirement
* Expertise with music curriculum (Elementary music endorsement preferred)
* Experience working with elementary students is preferred
