Job Description
TURN Community Services in Utah is seeking a highly driven and passionate full-time Economic Development and Communication Director to join our nonprofit. In this position, you make a significant impact on our community by helping us secure funding to support people with disabilities.
Depending on experience, you take home $65,000 - $75,000/year. We also offer these wonderful benefits:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, social sciences, or a related field OR an equivalent amount of relevant professional experience
- 4+ years of experience in management, marketing, or financial development, preferably with a nonprofit
- Experience with fundraising, supervising staff, and maintaining donor relationships
- Computer proficiency, interest in social media trends, and ability to use platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Heart for working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Must be located along the Wasatch Front - Weber to Utah County
- Must have own vehicle and be a driver in good standing

WHAT TO EXPECT
This position involves close collaboration with management and department leaders to develop impactful strategies for short- and long-term success. You create comprehensive funding plans and oversee the execution of public relations initiatives. Meticulously, you maintain our donor database and cultivate new relationships with funding sources and financial institutions.
You play a pivotal role in conceiving and crafting persuasive grant proposals, steering media communications, and fostering active engagement across various online platforms. To help with fundraising, you closely adhere to submission timelines, allocate resources, and attend important grant meetings. You are critical to our success!
Our main office in Salt Lake City is your primary work location, but this position will require travel and work around the state.

TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.
