Chewy is seeking an Associate Director, Customer Analytics to join our Marketing Science and Operations team in Boston, MA or Plantation, FL. This role will partner cross-functionally with channel managers, marketers, and other key stakeholders within Chewy on a wide variety of data initiatives across the organization with the opportunity to influence the decision-making process and strategy development. In this role, you will lead a team of analytics managers to perform exploratory analyses and deliver insights that will support Chewy’s customer acquisition and retention. As part of a dynamic team, this role offers a tremendous opportunity to make an impact with the leading online pet retailer in the US. What You'll Do:

Identify and manage strategic and tactical priorities supporting our marketing team while also working with colleagues across product, data science, and engineering to bring forward the best solutions to the problem at hand. Proactively interact with the internal product managers and stakeholders within the business teams to drive customer-centric changes through data-driven analyses and recommendations. Drive strategic insights on customer behaviors and existing/new propositions (loyalty programs, sales campaigns, discounted offers, etc.) across various marketing channels for Chewy customers. Proactively monitor existing metrics, develop, and propose new metrics, and work across the organization to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders. What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis; MBA or Masters in Analytics preferred. 8+ years in a quantitative role supporting business initiatives through data-driven decision frameworks. Experience in customer analytics, preferably with an online retailer. Expertise in data querying languages (SQL) and scripting language experience (Python preferred). Experience in developing visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, Shiny, etc., nice to have. Demonstrated ability to dig into the “why” of various results and present data driven insights and recommendations, with a bias for action. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses. Experience leading in a fast-paced environment and working with a diverse team.
