About the Position: The Marketing and Communications Manager administers, manages, and supports marketing and communications efforts that attract, inform, convert, and engage Costello College of Business stakeholders including prospective and current students, faculty and staff, alumni, business partners, and community members.
The primary purpose of this position is brand marketing, focusing on driving brand awareness of the Costello College of Business. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the college's social media properties (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube) and collaborates with the Sr. Director of Marketing to create and implement engaging social media campaigns. Responsibilities: Social Media Marketing Manage and monitor Costello College of Business social media accounts; Create engaging social content across all platforms, including idea development, copy writing, photography, and design of supporting graphics; Communicate and interact with stakeholders and cross-functional team members, preparing monthly analytics reports with performance insights and recommendations; Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in social media. Content Creation Generate written content for non-social media marketing and communications activities consistent with College messaging strategies, including landing page copy, web page content, e-newsletters, magazine ads, and media releases. Analytics and Assessment Integrate data from multiple sources into a social media dashboard for monthly reporting; Produce a monthly social media dashboard report analyzing trends and recommending optimization tactics. Budget Management Utilize the University eVA system and credit card for purchases; Utilize the University Travel Request System for travel authorizations and reimbursements; Utilize other University systems to aid the Marcom team with procurement needs. Special Projects and Additional Duties Execute special projects and additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Experience creating engaging content on social media platforms; Experience creating compelling visuals for social channels; Experience generating and interpreting analytics reports; Strong understanding of brand management, digital marketing, and social media platforms; Proficiency in various writing styles and marketing analytics tools; Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Agency experience preferred; Knowledge of graphic design software - Photoshop, Canva, InDesign, and social media scheduling applications.
