Please wait a moment then hit [Search] again. - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for multiple projects. - Work under the supervision of a more senior process engineer to: Develop the heat and material balance for new projects using process simulation tools. Perform equipment sizing calculations and prepare equipment data sheets. Perform detailed hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes, control valve sizing, compressor and pump duties, etc. Perform facility overpressure protection calculations, PSV sizing, and documentation with supervision. Develop Design Basis for new projects. Develop Process Control Narrative document and support Cause & Effect document. Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Participate in safety reviews, HAZOP/PHAs and PSM. Nuclear Power is a carbon-free energy source. Our electric power generation clients are digitizing their existing power plants and building new nuclear power plants, small modular reactors (SMR). This is expanding work in the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. You will work on major process controls engineering projects in the following areas: Digital Systems -- PLC, DCS, Touchscreen displays, network switches and control systems. Functional Requirement and Procurement Specifications for instrumentation and control components and systems. Process instrumentation replacement evaluation reports and nuclear modification packages. Mechatronics, Control Systems for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines and reactors. Development of P&ID’s and System Design. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide the work of less experienced project team members. You will work with a structural engineering team on engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants. This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
