We’re looking for a talented Email Marketing Lead to craft compelling, high-impact emails that inspire and align with our mission. Position Overview:
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Lead with the vision, expertise, and strategy to take our email marketing to the next level. This isn’t a role for someone still learning the ropes; we’re seeking a proven leader who has at least 5 years of hands-on email marketing experience and a track record of driving measurable results through strategic campaigns. This role is about leadership, strategy, and execution. You’ll work closely with our marketing team and lead the charge in optimizing performance and building new flows. You’ll work with tools like Klaviyo (for our main email list) and Braze (for app campaigns), handling both email and SMS marketing. You’ll also monitor deliverability, compliance, and performance while ensuring error-free, mobile-friendly emails go out on time. Key Responsibilities: Define and lead the strategic vision for email marketing campaigns to nurture long-term customer relationships, increase engagement, and drive monetization. Use data-driven insights to continually optimize email campaigns, flows, and segmentation strategies to improve key metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. Monitor deliverability rates, minimize unsubscribes/complaints, and ensure compliance with spam regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM). Build mobile-friendly templates and flows, leveraging technical knowledge of ESPs (e.g., APIs, SDKs, customer SMTPs). Monitor performance, analyze trends, and report on KPIs with actionable recommendations for improvement. Stay on top of email industry trends, including technological advancements, ISP/ESP developments, and email legislation. Qualifications: 5+ years in a dedicated email marketing role, with deep hands-on experience in campaign management and strategy. Proficiency with Klaviyo and Braze or similar platforms. Deep knowledge of ESPs, deliverability metrics, segmentation strategies, and email marketing best practices. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to improving email performance. Experience with technical aspects of ESPs (APIs, SDKs, SMTPs, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple campaigns/projects simultaneously. While we definitely have a long list of items in mind for you to tackle first, we also are looking for an expert that can guide us to what we need. You are the type of person that can deliver on our asks, but also takes initiative, feeling comfortable providing recommendations.
