CalWest client school in Washoe County, Nevada seeks a Music and Chorus Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

CalWest Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description.
• Requisite skills commensurate with the position.
• A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate.
• Authorization to live and work in the United States.

Client School Preferred Qualifications

• BA with MA preferred.
• Independent School experience preferred.
• Experience teaching music to elementary and middle school students.
• Passion for working with children and fostering their artistic and personal growth.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with and teach students in Grades PreK through 8th.
• Meeting with regular classes.
• The successful candidate will lead several annual school presentations, including our Dia de Los Muertos and Holiday Show celebrations.
• Assisting with Drama productions.
• Leading our newly-formed Chorus as an after-school activity.
• Foster a love of music and creativity in students through engaging and interactive teaching methods.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into cross-curricular activities and school events.
• Stay current with best practices in music education and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000
