Technical Writer

Location: Indianapolis, IN - 100% Onsite
Duration: 18 month contract
Pay Rate: $35.00/hour - $41.00/hour

Qualifications:
Must have expert experience with MS Office and the ability to use styles. Must have the ability to create templates and must be a Technical Writer, not a Documenter.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and edit standard operating procedures, user tools, training materials, glossary content, and global standards.
2. Work with teams to document action plans to ensure SOP compliance, including writing and editing of documentation.
3. Route documentation through review and approval processes in the document management system.
4. Analyze existing documentation to ensure it is updated, reviewed, and maintained as appropriate with subject matter experts.
5. Adhere to appropriate quality and verification processes, including SOPs, and make recommendations on system documentation.
6. Organize existing and new documentation.
7. If expertise in technical writing is present, coach and train other document controllers on technical writing concepts and instruction.
8. Suggest appropriate formatting for documentation.
9. Serve as a point person for documentation advice and help.
10. Report status of documentation deliverables to the Client supervisor and Client team regularly.
11. Assist in the Periodic Review, Gap Assessment, and other review strategy documentation.
