Tower Hill School is seeking an organized, energetic, and experienced Lower School Music Teacher to inspire and engage young learners through dynamic and creative music instruction. The ideal candidate will be a skilled choral and musical director with strong accompaniment skills on a chordal instrument (such as piano or guitar). This individual will lead musical experiences, direct choral ensembles, and provide music for Lower School assemblies while fostering a love for music in students. This is a full-time, benefitted, 10-month position to start in August 2025. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement an engaging music curriculum for lower school students Teach Pre Kindergarten through Fourth Grade music Direct and rehearse choral ensembles and prepare them for performances Serve as musical director for school productions, coordinating with faculty and students Provide accompaniment on a chordal instrument for performances, assemblies, and classroom activities Organize and lead music for Lower School assemblies and special events Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to integrate music into the broader curriculum Maintain and care for music resources, instruments, and performance spaces Assist with student supervision and chaperoning outside the classroom Participate in faculty collaborations and meetings Complete skill based progress reports twice/year Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education, Choral Conducting, or a related field Proven experience teaching elementary music in a school setting Strong choral conducting skills and experience directing young voices Proficiency in playing and accompanying on a chordal instrument (e.g., piano or guitar) Experience in musical direction for school productions Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills Commitment to inclusive music practices and teaching with a knowledge of various musical genres. Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community Passion for inspiring young musicians and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music Experience with Orff, Kodály, or Dalcroze methodologies Familiarity with technology in music education Background in arranging music for young voices Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of children Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of students Please submit a resume and cover letter as soon as possible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
