Position Overview Echtra Games is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing team for a new AAA PC and Console ARPG project. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX designer who is dedicated to creating exceptional player-focused games. The ideal candidate should possess a multidisciplinary skillset in UI design, UX design, and a familiarity with the Unreal Engine. We are looking for an enthusiastic team-player with a proven track record of guiding user experience initiatives from inception to delivery, with a strong focus on player satisfaction and usability. Echtra Games is a small game studio in San Francisco with a team of veteran game developers and visionary newcomers who work both on-site and remotely. Responsibilities: Design Develop design specs into well crafted Figma documents and prototypes Actively pursue and gather feedback to ensure feature goals are satisfied Iterate over existing designs to ensure usability Maintain, evolve and contribute to our design system Shepherd features from prototype to engine Provide creative solutions to complex problems Communicate Documentation of your work is tidy and can adhere to naming conventions and structures of existing designs Highly competent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing Ability to co-work and communicate with multiple studio locations, teams, and partners Able to collaborate with proactive communication and a willingness to build consensus with competing perspectives Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, manage time effectively, and deliver work with minimal oversight Demonstrate proactive self-development with interest in leveling up personal, interpersonal, and craft skills Find opportunities to mentor, share your knowledge, insight, and experiences with others Technical Design and Prototype in Figma Document design work in Figjam / Confluence Strong understanding of Unreal’s UMG and ability to build widgets and materials to support your work Art Strong sense of visual hierarchy / value structure Fundamentals of animation Clean and modern design philosophy Figma / Adobe Creative Suite Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related area; a combination of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree 6+ years of experience in the game development industry specializing in UI Pluses Familiarity with ARPG UI and UX Experience developing UI and UX for a wide range of screen sizes and resolutions Shipped titles on console Unreal Material development 3D skillset What We Offer You: Zynga offers a world-class benefits package that helps support and balance the needs of our teams. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect: Colorado: $75,100 and $111,160 per year California: $80,100 and $118,560 per year Illinois: $80,100 and $118,560 per year New York State (inclusive of New York City): $91,100 and $134,840 per year Washington: $75,100 and $111,160 per year Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 16 paid holidays per calendar year, unlimited discretionary time off, and will receive up to 6.5 sick days per calendar year.
