HealthNet Aeromedical Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit shared service of Cabell Huntington Hospital/Marshall Health Network, Charleston Area Medical Center/Vandalia Health, and WVU Medicine.

In 1986, a group of West Virginia healthcare leaders met and created a vision for a safe, high-quality, technologically advanced not-for-profit critical care transport system. From that vision, HealthNet Aeromedical Services was born.

Corporate Communications Manager (CCM)

Position Overview:

The Corporate Communications Manager (CCM) plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic initiatives of HealthNet Aeromedical Services, Inc. This person works closely with leadership and managers at bases and customer sites across Central Appalachia to lead communication initiatives including but not limited to content development, media relations, social and digital media, events, etc.- all aimed at advancing the organization's visibility and reputation. Specifically, this person will manage content and public engagement across social media platforms, ensuring consistent and effective messaging while also driving innovation by crafting fresh approaches to audience interaction and engagement. Additionally, the CCM partners with the organization's Business Development Coordinators, offering strategic communication expertise and daily guidance.

Environment and Mechanical Considerations:

The CCM generally conducts his/her activities from the Administration office. Travel to remote helicopter and ambulance bases, customer sites and member hospitals is required to support organizational activities.

Minimum Required Education Level:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

Preferred Educational Level:

Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

Required Previous Experience:

Minimum of five years of experience in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

Preferred Previous Experience:

Experience within the EMS or/and air medical industries.

Position Specific Accountabilities :

Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the organization's goals. Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels, including social media, press materials and internal publications. Seek out social media, video, photo and outreach opportunities and provide recommendations to Senior Leaders for improvement. Plan events, displays and conferences. Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets. Coordinate and interact with member hospitals as appropriate. Manage crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and transparent messaging during emergencies. Create, manage and distribute content for internal newsletters, publications, announcements, etc. while coordinating with the graphic design team. Oversee website content and updates to maintain relevance and accuracy. Track, analyze and optimize digital communication strategies to enhance engagement and reach target audiences. Coordinate external communications and market development with assigned leaders. Manage the development and fulfillment of operating marketing budgets as directed. Procure, maintain and distribute marketing supplies and materials effectively. Work with RSQ911 (customer feedback system) and collaborate with colleagues for reports and customer quality assurance. Assist customers as needed while maintaining a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance. Provide customer data reports upon request. Be willing to work and adjust schedules as needed, being sensitive to organizational needs. Perform other duties within the scope of qualifications and experience as assigned by the President and CEO.
