Curriculum Designer

The Curriculum Designer is responsible for developing and designing competency-based curriculum learning materials using blended learning strategies across eight functional areas: Staffing/Recruitment, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Equal Employment Opportunity, Performance Management, Compensation, Classification, and Workforce Development. This role requires expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and the full learning solution development life cycle (ADDIE learning development model).

General Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop competency-based curriculum and learning materials for various functional HR areas.
  • Utilize blended learning strategies, including e-learning, instructor-led training, and performance support tools.
  • Apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles throughout the full ADDIE life cycle.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Communicate and articulate the instructional design process to stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Develop and edit multimedia content using HTML, Photoshop, Captivate, Audacity, and Adobe products.
  • Manage multiple curriculum development projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure all training materials align with adult learning principles and instructional best practices.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and curriculum development.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing training development projects.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience using HTML, Photoshop, Captivate, Audacity, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional theory.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop engaging, interactive, and effective learning solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • US citizen with existing active Secret clearance or at minimum, eligible for Secret clearance.
