Job Description – Part-Time Freelance Technical Designer (Menswear)

Location: Onsite/Flexible in NY

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join their team on a part-time freelance basis, specializing in menswear. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a luxury or premium product development background who can collaborate with overseas factories in Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with overseas factories to ensure fit, construction, and quality meet brand standards.
Provide pattern corrections (patternmaking experience is a plus).
Oversee technical aspects of menswear, focusing on cut & sew knits, denim, and wovens.
Ensure accuracy in technical packs, grading, and sample reviews.
Identify and resolve any production and development issues.

Key Qualifications:

4-10 years of experience in technical design for menswear.
Strong expertise in pattern correction and garment construction.
Extensive experience working with factories in Europe and Asia.
Background in luxury or premium product development.
Highly detail-oriented and quality-driven.
Immediate availability to start.
