Description
We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Associate Designer, Girls Apparel to join our team. This role will support the development of trend-forward, commercially viable collections that appeal to young consumers while aligning with brand identity and retailer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrications, color, and technical design, along with a passion for children's apparel.
Responsibilities
Conduct trend research to develop seasonal concepts for the girls' apparel categories. Assist in sampling, color approvals, art sheets, and pitching color to ensure strong visual direction. Create flat sketches and detailed technical packages for production. Support the team with fabric selection, color development, and print applications. Manage submits and approvals, ensuring accuracy and consistency across collections. Work on branding elements such as hangtags, labels, and packaging. Assist in fit sessions, providing input on garment construction and styling. Maintain consistency across seasonal collections through recoloring artwork and updating trend boards. Collaborate cross-functionally with Tech Design, Production, and the Tech Pack Team to ensure smooth workflow and execution. Requirements
2+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably within children's wear. Strong understanding of fabric performance, functionality, and seasonal trends. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and PLM software is a plus. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A proactive attitude, with the ability to jump from task to task seamlessly as priorities shift.
Hybrid Work Schedule
3 days a week in the office, 2 days' work from home

New York Pay Rate $53,000 - $75,000
