Position Overview:
Chef Works is seeking a talented Graphic Designer II to join our creative team. This individual will provide graphic design services in the areas of marketing collateral, catalog design, direct mail, and sales tool development. You will work closely with the marketing team to create visually stunning materials that communicate the Chef Works brand to customers, partners, and our global community.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Collateral Creation: Develop marketing materials such as catalogs, flyers, direct mail pieces, and sales tools that align with the Chef Works brand and visual identity. Catalog and Lookbook Design: Contribute to the layout and design of catalogs and lookbooks, ensuring an exceptional, large-scale multi-page document presentation. Trade Show & POS Design: Create eye-catching trade show graphics and other point-of-sale (POS) design materials to promote Chef Works at industry events. Digital and Social Media Graphics: Prepare images and graphics for use on e-commerce platforms and social media channels, including retouching and editing as needed. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring each is completed on time and meets the established brand standards. Creative Direction & Collaboration: Offer design recommendations based on project briefs and collaborate with the creative team, including managers and copywriters, to develop the most effective solutions. Innovative Design Solutions: Bring fresh ideas to the table with innovative design and branding solutions that enhance the brand's presence. Team Collaboration: Provide technical assistance and feedback to team members during the design process, ensuring high-quality output. Cross-Department Support: Assist other departments with design and creative solutions as needed. Software Mastery: Stay up-to-date on the latest graphic design software and tools. Industry Awareness: Stay informed on the latest trends in graphic design and share insights with the marketing team. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: At least 5 years of progressive graphic design experience, including multi-page layout, typography, and color theory in a corporate marketing or advertising environment. Illustration experience is a plus. Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Experience in a Mac environment is a plus. Collaboration & Deadline Management: Ability to work effectively in a team setting and meet deadlines consistently. Vendor Collaboration: Experience working with printers and outside vendors to execute designs. Printing Knowledge: Strong understanding of CMYK vs. SPOT and Pantone color systems, as well as the printing process (PRE-PRESS, pre-flighting files for print). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate design ideas clearly. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks. Creative Portfolio: A strong portfolio that showcases artistic ability, creativity, and design expertise. Digital Media Skills: Experience designing graphics for email marketing and social media is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting of 10 lbs. or less (less than 15% of the time) generally at waist level, with some lifting above/below waist (none above shoulder height). Ability to perform desk work, including extended periods of computer work. Minimal standing required (less than 5% of the time).

$70 - $75K (Bonus $2,000 - $5,000 per yr.)
