What you'll do...
The Walmart Facility Services team is composed of over 5,000 associates and numerous contractors working to develop and execute a world-class, data-driven asset management strategy. Our mission is to optimize uptime and total cost of ownership for Walmarts assets across 5,000+ stores, clubs, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers. Walmarts Facility Services team is growing its responsibility and footprint to achieve its vision of becoming the world's most reliable and sustainable facility services platform supporting our customers, members, associates, and communities in which we operate. About this role: This role is responsible for the end-to-end strategic development and execution of Walmarts facility HVAC and Refrigeration design engineering and innovation. This includes strategy and modelling of asset replacement plans to continue to drive fleetwide reduction in refrigeration and HVAC emissions and use of high-GWP refrigerants. This leader will oversee the testing, design, and implementation of new HVAC and refrigeration technologies, evaluate new technologies, and work cross functionally to develop a comprehensive asset replacement strategy. This role will lead a team of engineers, program managers, and HVAC and Refrigeration design specialists to: Develop and refine HVAC and refrigeration standards and prototype designs in collaboration with the Realty prototype and design teams to ensure innovative, sustainable solutions.
Collaborate on procurement strategies for refrigeration and HVAC systems in partnership with Global Procurement, optimizing cost-efficiency and system performance.
Evaluate and recommend new refrigeration and HVAC technologies, identifying opportunities for testing and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
Define comprehensive lifecycle management strategies for refrigeration and HVAC assets, incorporating preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance approaches.
Create training programs and best practice guidelines for field execution teams, promoting operational excellence and consistency across all facilities.
Serve as the subject matter expert in HVAC and refrigeration engineering and innovation, providing expert guidance on technical matters and best practices.
Monitor and ensure refrigerant emissions compliance, staying updated on federal and state regulations governing refrigerant use and proactively preparing for future regulatory changes.
Build and manage asset replacement models to drive cost-effective strategies for refrigeration and HVAC system modernization.
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Realty, Construction, Sustainability, Energy, and Procurement to minimize operational disruption, maximize uptime, and reduce total cost of ownership.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing a complex facility asset portfolio, ensuring reliable, efficient, and sustainable operations across Walmarts vast network of stores, clubs, and distribution centers. Possess a deep understanding of asset lifecycle management, with expertise in condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies.

Are adept at building relationships with industry leaders to stay ahead of HVAC and refrigeration industry trends.
Have experience in leading large-scale technology upgrades, managing both capital and OPEX plans, and focusing on the operational impact of system modernization.
Are data-driven, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in using analytics to inform decision-making and asset investment strategies.
Excel in fostering collaboration across departments, working closely with IT, Sustainability, Procurement, and other teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
