Adecco Creative and Marketing partnered with an eco-conscious material trendsetter to hire a Senior Manger for Product Design, Quartz Surfaces.


This is a full time, onsite role. You will work either in office in Alpharetta AND the manufacturing plant in Adairsville. The salary is $90,000-$150,000, based on experience.


Product Design and Development Manager (Quartz Surfaces)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Product Design and Development Manager to lead the creation, research, and development of innovative quartz surface designs and patterns for countertops and flooring. This role involves trend analysis, customer insights, and product enhancement while collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and external design teams. The ideal candidate will drive the development of new quartz colors, patterns, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure product excellence and market relevance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research market and design trends in quartz surfaces by attending industry events, utilizing forecasting tools, and analyzing customer preferences.
  • Lead the development of quartz colors, materials, formulations, and manufacturing processes to enhance aesthetics and performance.
  • Conduct lab and mass production tests to validate new quartz designs, patterns, and color formulations.
  • Oversee the selection and preparation of new quartz products for market launch.
  • Develop custom quartz color solutions for niche markets, including the Recreational Vehicle (RV) and OEM sectors.
  • Conduct market analysis by attending key trade shows such as KBIS, Coverings, RV Show, Milan Furniture Fair, and Verona Stone Fair.
  • Visit kitchen & bath dealers and fabricators to identify regional and industry-specific trends in quartz surfaces.
  • Perform competitor analysis to evaluate quartz market positioning and customer preferences.
  • Gather customer insights through surveys, focus groups, and direct engagement.
  • Collaborate with the HQ Design Center in South Korea and external design experts to drive quartz design innovation.
  • Develop and present quartz design strategies and trend proposals to internal teams and customers.
  • Manage outsourced quartz design projects, liaising with overseas suppliers and vendors, and evaluating lab samples for quality and color accuracy.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Graphic, Interior, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product design and development, particularly in quartz or similar surfaces.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to present quartz design concepts and trends effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Textile, Graphic, Interior, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in product design and development.
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Skilled in design-related software programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.
