We are looking for a driven team member to contribute to the development of our Autopilot/Full Self Driving software at Tesla to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. This person reviews videos to create simulation scenarios that contribute to our deep learning network. In this role you will work with in-house tools to increase coverage of our virtual world.
You will be working with new 3D editor technologies, like Unreal Engine and Unity game editors - the ideal candidate will know these concepts. The perfect candidate for this role is adaptable, can apply logic to multiple different scenarios, is attentive to detail, has experience with computers and other software, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. This team provides all on-site training to help you be successful in this role.
The simulation scenario creation team's goal is to recreate the real world to provide a comprehensive playground for Autopilot. The team builds a robust and accurate simulation with physics, photorealistic rendering, and intelligent actors to allow thorough testing and accelerated development.
Responsibilities
Use 3D Web & YAML and in-house tools to create high-value simulation scenarios
Identify areas for improvement in the tooling interface or ontologies
Understand basic principles of programming and machine learning to support reasoning during the creation process
Make judgement calls on difficult edge cases that might come up during creation
Requirements Experience using computers, command-line interface, git or any source control
Must be reliable, have initiative, and professional while able to work independently and on a team
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly and be able to prioritize assignments
Able to follow directions, detail-oriented, patient, and quality focused
Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
Experience in the Video Game Industry (Level and Gameplay design) preferred
Bonus: Experience with 3D Editors (or Web Equivalent) like Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, 3DS Max or Equivalent

Expected Compensation
$21.60 - $44.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
