We are seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to join our growing Communications team, focusing on Sports & Lifestyle accounts. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with top-tier clients to build and execute innovative, 360-degree communications programs that leverage robust sports partnership portfolios. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with a strong understanding of sports culture, lifestyle trends, and earned media strategies. They excel in client management and crafting creative campaigns that resonate in a fragmented media and audience landscape. This position offers an opportunity to work across interagency teams at UEG and within the DJE family of companies, driving collaboration and bringing an earned lens to the broader interagency process. The candidate should have experience in sports and lifestyle PR, strong media connections, and the ability to execute programs that amplify brand purpose and cultural relevance. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development and execution of creative storytelling strategies for sports and lifestyle clients, incorporating talent, content, and media activations. Serve as a primary or key client contact for high-priority accounts, ensuring strategic counsel and effective execution of deliverables. Lead media relations efforts, leveraging relationships across sports, lifestyle, fashion, fitness, and consumer media to maximize coverage and influence. Stay informed of media and cultural trends relevant to clients' industries, identifying opportunities to align campaigns with emerging topics. Contribute to earned media strategies, influencer engagement, and PR activations for product launches and sports-related events. Support financial management, including budgeting, client billing, and vendor invoicing, ensuring projects remain profitable and within scope. Develop media materials, including pitches, press releases, contact lists, and performance reports. Play a key role in new business efforts, including the development of proposals and presentations. QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of experience in communications, with a focus on sports, lifestyle, and cultural programming. Experience with Olympic or high-profile sporting events is a plus. Demonstrated success managing client accounts and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset. Familiarity with modern media landscapes, including paid, earned, social, and owned channels. Proven ability to develop and pitch creative ideas to media outlets and influencers. Effective project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Agency experience is strongly preferred. Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 a year. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
