Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) is seeking an experienced and highly creative Graphic Designer to
join our Visual Arts Team. As a key member of our design team, the Graphic Designer will play a critical
role in shaping the visual identity of CCV across both print and digital platforms. This individual will have a deep understanding of design principles, with an exceptional ability to lead creative projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple design projects, and
collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact design solutions that align with our mission: WIN people to Christ, TRAIN believers to become disciples, and SEND disciples to impact the world.

Job Description

Creative Conceptualization & Design: Develop innovative design concepts tailored to client objectives, brand guidelines, and target audience insights.

  • Effective Visual Communication: Create clear and impactful designs using typography, color, imagery, and layout to communicate key messages.
  • Brand Consistency & Development: Ensure all designs maintain consistency with the CCV brand identity while pushing creative boundaries to enhance the brand experience.
  • Project Oversight & Execution: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project specifications. Serve as the main point of contact between stakeholders and project managers to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Final Production Design: Prepare final files for both digital and print formats, ensuring proper color accuracy, size, and resolution. Collaborate with external vendors and ministry partners to ensure the highest-quality production results.

Skills & Expertise

  • Creative Proficiency: Proven ability to produce visually compelling and innovative designs across diverse media.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring the highest standards of design quality in every aspect of production.
  • Program Proficiency: Possess advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. As well as working knowledge in Monday.com.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adjust design strategies based on client feedback, industry trends, or evolving needs. Openness to learning new tools and design techniques.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with marketing, video, and other teams to ensure design consistency across all channels and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Creative problem-solving under tight deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality, functional designs.
  • Continuous Learning: Committed to personal and professional growth, welcoming constructive feedback and actively seeking opportunities for development.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: AA or BA in Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Portfolio: A robust portfolio that highlights your creative versatility and problem-solving skills across various design projects.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on both digital and print mediums. Proven ability to manage design projects from concept to completion, with experience in print production (file preparation, color modes, resolution, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with web design, UX/UI principles, large-format design, and traditional illustration is a plus.
