Departmental Summary: We build, enhance and playout the Edit + Animation + Graphics Innovation + Playout team’s world-class designs, utilizing the most state-of-the-art graphics technology in the industry. We are partners with all studio and event productions to showcase statistics and sports information around the clock to enhance our visual storytelling. We are constantly evaluating and adapting our workflows while staffing for maximum efficiencies.

Position Summary: Executes graphics on an intermediate level using ESPN developed playout applications for event and studio productions. Maintains quality of ESPN’s on-air product for daily/nightly studio and event productions.

Responsibilities:

1. Operates ESPN developed playout applications for live studio and event productions.
2. Works independently on studio and event assignments.
3. Enforces studio and event formats of ESPN’s networks and its promo look.
4. Ensures the accuracy and timely preparation of graphics on all productions.
5. Able to effectively communicate across the organization to report technical problems. Must also be able to clearly articulate source of problems in defective equipment reports.
6. Required to work flexible hours and days as production assignments dictate including weekends, nights and holidays.
7. Reviews daily schedules and ensures prompt arrivals for assignments.
8. Maintains administrative records including shift assignment reports and other required documentation.
9. Reads and responds to email notifications and other company-supported communication tools.
10. Upholds production support responsibilities when necessary.
11. Trains new hires on various studio productions.
12. Fulfills Show Lead responsibilities on multiple productions, including thorough graphics documentation, workflow efficiencies, and communication with peers.
