• Collaborate: Work with other newsroom staff on shared projects to amplify your storytelling.

Who You Are

• Culturally Connected: You’re deeply familiar with New Braunfels and its rich culture, or excited to immerse yourself in it.
• Digital-Savvy: You know how to use social media to report, promote, and build audience engagement.
• Versatile Creator: You’re skilled in writing voice-driven pieces and enhancing them with multimedia elements like photos and videos.
• Goal-Oriented: You thrive on deadlines and consistently deliver thoughtful, high-quality stories.
• Experienced: You have 2-3 years of digital reporting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and familiarity with AP style.
