Our client, a leading denim brand, is looking for a professional and dependable temporary Designer specializing in soft woven garments to join their Los Angeles team!

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design seasonal collections based on current trends / brand identity.
  • Create sketches in Adobe Illustrator, technical drawings, and digital renderings of designs (CAD) and detailed tech packs for production teams.
  • Select fabrics, materials, color palettes, trims, and finishes suitable for soft woven garments for each collection.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers and product development teams to ensure fit and construction accuracy.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends and consumer preferences.
  • Attend fittings and ensure quality standards are met. Must be able to adjust designs as needed and oversee sample development.
  • Design and develop soft woven apparel, including tops, dresses, and bottoms.
  • Work closely with merchandising and sales teams to align designs with market needs.
  • Ensure all designs meet brand quality, sustainability, and cost requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design (or related field).
  • Proven experience as a fashion designer with an eye for junior sportswear / bottoms (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing soft woven garments. 8+ in overall fashion design
  • Experience creating tech packs in Excel and working with oversees manufacturers.
