We are looking for a Content Marketing Associate who combines deep investment knowledge with strong storytelling abilities. This role is ideal for someone with a background in alternative investment due diligence, manager research, portfolio construction, or alternative investment product marketing—and a passion for crafting compelling, data-driven narratives.
You will own and support various thought leadership initiatives at CAIS, producing insights that shape industry conversations and educate financial advisors on alternative investing and CAIS platform technology. The role requires resourcefulness, autonomy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, identifies educational content opportunities, and can quickly turn insights into engaging content. We are looking for a versatile content creator and editor, who can also step up to support our marketing team across other initiatives, such as webinar and event promotion, podcast and video pre-production, automated email marketing, SEO, paid media, and other brand awareness or activation campaigns. Key Responsibilities Lead Thought Leadership Initiatives
– Research, write, and publish high-impact content including our biweekly newsletter, white papers, industry reports, blogs, course outlines, and market insights to elevate CAIS’ experience in alternative investing and technology. Analyze Markets and Develop Narratives
– Partner with our segment marketing and investment strategy teams to identify key asset-class-level themes and emerging trends across private equity, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, and structured investments. Integrate External Research
– Leverage industry reports and asset manager marketing materials to develop content that helps financial advisors navigate fund selection and asset allocation decisions. Create and Distribute Engaging Content
– Develop multi-channel content (e.g., blogs, emails, social media, and video scripts) that educates advisors and enhances CAIS’ brand awareness. Ensure Editorial Excellence and Compliance
– Align all content with CAIS’ brand voice, style guide, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FINRA Rule 2210). Execute Quickly and Autonomously
– Take initiative in researching, writing, and adapting content to high task volume, fast-moving deadlines, and shifting priorities. Optimize Processes and Technology
– Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new tools, refine workflows, and enhance content distribution strategies. Maintain Attention to Detail
– Ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with CAIS’ brand and compliance guidelines through rigorous editing and proofreading. Collaborate Across Teams
– Work closely with investment strategy, sales, marketing, and legal and compliance to produce content that serves financial advisors’ needs while maintaining regulatory accuracy. Engage With the Industry
– Stay current on alternative investment trends, fund manager developments, and macroeconomic factors to ensure thought leadership remains relevant and forward-looking. Qualifications 3+ Years of Experience – Focus on investment product marketing and/or investment-related content creation, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in alternative investment due diligence, portfolio construction, asset manager/strategy research, or investment management. Ability To Work Independently – Thrives in an environment that requires problem-solving, self-direction, and proactive decision-making. Strong Writing and Storytelling Skills – Ability to craft compelling narratives that educate and engage busy financial professionals. Quick Problem-Solving and Adaptability – Comfortable navigating complex topics, managing high volumes of work, and meeting tight deadlines. Willingness To Learn and Optimize – Open to exploring new technology tools, refining workflows, and improving efficiency. Experience in Multi-Channel Content Distribution – Skilled in developing content for social, email, digital marketing, and video scripting. Ability To Translate Complex Investment Strategies – Skilled in simplifying sophisticated financial concepts into advisor-friendly, digestible content. Knowledge of Alternative Investments – Familiar with private equity, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, and structured notes. Understanding of Regulatory Compliance – Experience adhering to FINRA Rule 2210 and other financial content compliance considerations. Education – Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Journalism, or a related field. Certifications (Preferred) – CFA, CAIA, Series 7, or 24 a plus.
