The Role

As a Traditional Media Buyer focused on TV and radio, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic media buying buys for our clients' advertising campaigns. Your expertise in TV and radio media buying will contribute to the success of our clients' marketing initiatives and ensure their messages reach the right audience through these channels. You will work closely with media vendors and internal teams to deliver impactful campaigns that meet and exceed expectations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with managers and internal teams to understand campaign objectives, target audience, and budgetary constraints.
  2. Estimate impressions for buys via research/analysis to identify relevant TV and radio stations/channels, programming, and time slots that align with target demographics and campaign goals.
  3. Negotiate rates, impressions, and added value opportunities with TV and radio stations to secure optimal media placements within budget.
  4. Monitor and track schedule deliveries weekly and request under delivery weight to optimize media buys to maximize reach, frequency, and performance metrics.
  5. Resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
  6. Responsible for post-buy analysis and rationale - carefully manage posting process: checking schedules to determine poor rotations, missed spots, under delivery, etc.
  7. Develop market conditions and advise supervisors of any relevant market changes.
  8. Write POV’s as needed.
  9. Build and maintain strong relationships with TV and radio stations, leveraging these partnerships to negotiate favorable terms and secure added value for clients.
  10. Keep abreast of new technologies, audience measurement tools, and media buying software to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in TV and radio media buying.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Demonstrate solid technical and negotiating skills.
  2. Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
  4. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  5. Handle pressure and deadlines well.
  6. Likes to have fun as well as work hard.

Experience & Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Proven experience (1-2 years) in traditional media buying, with 6 months-1 year as an assistant media buyer - specifically focused on TV and radio.
  3. Proficient in media buying software/tools – preferably Media Ocean experience.
  4. Some knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
$69,000 - $69,000 a year

Salary and Benefits

Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a “Do Good Day,” and unlimited PTO.

In-Office Work Schedule

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days in-office per week.
