GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, this role within the Creative team will be responsible for leading creatives to develop compelling and innovative campaigns that amplify the values of Wild Alaskan Company to members and future members. This role requires a creative visionary with a deep understanding of concepting, storytelling, art direction, design, and branding in the direct-to-consumer space. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Brand, Digital Product, and Procurement, to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand experience.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Leadership
- Provide creative direction to both contractors and in-house designers, copywriters, and other creatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative work.
- In collaboration with the Executive Creative Director, develop and maintain a clear creative vision for the brand, aligning with business objectives and new opportunities for members and future members.
Campaign Development
- Conceptualize and oversee the development of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional media.
- Guide work on Print, Merchandising, and OOH Collateral towards channel best practices.
- Guide collaboration on social-first campaign ideas and partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to deliver creative execution across the full funnel of marketing.
Brand Strategy
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the brand strategy with Director of Brand and Executive Creative Director, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, values, and target audience.
- Provide creative insights to guide the evolution of the brand identity and further brand identity rollouts across the company.
Creative Direction
- Provide clear creative direction for copy, design, art direction, and branded content.
- Act as a contributor towards Design, Art Direction, or Copywriting depending on background.
- Experience managing performance marketing creative in an agile and data-informed way for digital marketing touchpoints (paid ads, email campaigns, and landing pages).
- Experience providing creative strategy optimizing based on performance data.
- Stay informed about creative trends and industry best practices to continually elevate the output of the team.
- Experience setting direction for content production teams in-house and with agencies.
- Set direction for narrative-based video work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Brand, Digital Product, and Procurement, to ensure creative alignment with business goals and member needs.
- Act as a liaison between creative and other departments, fostering a collaborative and communicative environment.
- Experience creating proposals and directing feedback with creative and production agencies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 6-10 years proven experience providing creative management.
- Experience within a direct-to-consumer or e-commerce environment.
- Food experience required.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful creative campaigns.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of design software and tools.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently in a remote, team environment.
- Passion for Wild Alaskan’s mission.

The starting salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000/yr, USD, annual base salary plus performance-based compensation, commensurate with skills and experience.
