DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the Director of Interiors and senior design team to develop design

concepts

• Understand the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts

with ability to lead and develop design element components

• Develop + produce construction documents and detail sketches; execute red-line revisions

• Provide programming and space planning analysis

• Work independently and alongside team to meet project constraints of budget and

schedule

• Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials

• Be involved with coordinating contractors, consultants, and vendor assignments

• Collaborate with and mentor junior staff

• Assist the team with the selection of fixtures, finishes, furniture and coordinate with

vendors/dealers, under the supervision of senior staff

• Support the project team in all aspects of programming, schematic design, design

development and construction documentation phases

• Assist Construction Administration team with review of submittals and shop drawings and

RFI responses

• Review of purchase orders from procurement agency and/or furniture dealership

SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Proficient in the following software: AutoCAD, Revit (strongly preferred), Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite • Strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards, and application of building codes and specifications • Basic sketching and rendering skills • Experience with furnishings and finishes, selections and specifications • Working knowledge of Construction Documents • Experience with space planning methodology

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION

• 5+ years of relevant full-time experience

• Bachelor’s Degree from a CIDA Accredited Interior Design or Architecture School

• Licensure or interest in completing your NCIDQ exams
