ABOUT YOU:
As a Production Specialist - Creative, you will play a key role in ensuring that all art files, layouts, and electronic presentations meet brand standards and production specifications. Working closely with creative teams, marketing, and external vendors, you will be responsible for file management, print preparation, and quality assurance. Your keen attention to detail and expertise in design software, print production, and digital workflows will ensure the successful execution of high-quality materials.

Our Marketing team leverages digital marketing strategies and tactics focused on schools, independent sales reps, parents, and students to deliver the right message, to the right customer, at the right time. Team members will understand and leverage customer insights through data analysis & testing to then create experiences and relevant content throughout the customer journey and to support our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products, and Professional Sports. Through executing across a variety of consumer touchpoints on jostens.com, social, e-mail and print materials, the team collaborates with internal partners to create relevant and timely marketing campaigns to meet the needs of our customers. ABOUT YOU:
As a Production Specialist - Creative, you will play a key role in ensuring that all art files, layouts, and electronic presentations meet brand standards and production specifications. Working closely with creative teams, marketing, and external vendors, you will be responsible for file management, print preparation, and quality assurance. Your keen attention to detail and expertise in design software, print production, and digital workflows will ensure the successful execution of high-quality materials.
YOU HAVE:
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud. High-level knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator for file creation and design adjustments. Preferred experience with project management software (Wrike) and PDF Accessibility.
- Technical Proficiency. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, font software, Fetch, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of PDF forms to create editable files. Preferred typography training/experience.
- Print Production Knowledge. Advanced understanding of prepress, printing standards, digital workflows, and file formats. Preferred 3-5 years' experience in image and file prep for high-end print production.
- Color Correction & Image Manipulation Skills. Ability to refine and optimize images for high-end print production.
- Content & Copy Accuracy. Ability to review and proofread layouts for consistency and brand alignment. Preferred prior experience with proofreading following AP Style and in house style guide.
- File Management & Organization. Strong experience archiving, managing digital assets, and ensuring files are properly stored.
- Attention to Detail & Ownership. Highly detail-oriented, able to take responsibility for deliverables and work under tight deadlines.
- Collaboration & Communication. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating with internal teams and external vendors.
YOU WILL:
- Prepare & Finalize Production Files. Create print-ready files that meet brand standards and printing specifications, ensuring layouts, typography, and images are optimized for accuracy.
- Ensure Quality Control. Review and proof all artwork, layouts, and content to confirm alignment with brand guidelines and project specifications before vendor delivery.
- Manage File Archiving & Organization. Maintain an efficient file structure, offload completed projects, and coordinate with IT to manage archive server space.
- Support Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with creative teams, marketing, and external vendors to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Monitor Trends & Process Improvements. Stay updated on industry best practices, software updates, and digital production trends to continuously improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist with Mock-Ups & Proofs. Create or request mock-ups and proofs as needed to ensure production accuracy.
- Maintain Compliance & Licensing Standards. Ensure all art files, stock photography, and fonts meet licensing and sourcing guidelines.
- Typical/expected % of overnight travel. None to minimal.
