Position Overview: This role leads the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive local engagement, foot traffic, revenue growth, and brand consistency for the Charlotte venue. Responsibilities include developing campaigns, optimizing and overseeing digital channels, analyzing metrics to refine strategies, and ensuring campaigns are tailored to the local market while maintaining brand standards. The position also collaborates with cross-functional teams, oversees the Rally Charlotte marketing team (inclusive of salaried and freelance roles), and supports venue operations through menu updates and merchandising. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven marketer with a heightened attention to detail, a passion for hospitality and active living, and the ability to deliver measurable results. Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans tailored to the Charlotte market to maximize local engagement, drive foot traffic & revenue. Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define marketing goals, objectives, and KPIs, and develop plans to achieve them. Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring they drive new customer acquisition, increase foot traffic, enhance community presence, and align with brand standards. Manage all customer communications across news media, advertising, direct mail, email, website, social media, and in-venue messaging. Develop and execute a full-funnel lifecycle marketing strategy to drive awareness, traffic and retention. Stay updated on marketing trends, technology, competitive landscape, and industry developments to ensure innovative and effective strategies. Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and provide actionable insights. Oversee website updates, ensuring timely, relevant content that enhances user experience. Manage and optimize key digital marketing channels (e.g., social media, email, and paid advertising) to drive engagement and ROI. Develop and execute social media strategies to engage target audiences and align with team goals. Create compelling content for the website, blog, email newsletters, social media, and marketing collateral. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies to improve performance. Track and analyze key metrics (campaign performance, customer engagement, ROI) to inform strategies and optimize results. Provide regular reports on campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Use player and guest data, sales figures, and financial metrics to define/refine product-market fit, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue growth. Drive and execute end-to-end processes and daily program management, ensuring campaigns are tailored to the local market and executed seamlessly. Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to manage menu updates across all digital and in-venue platforms. Regularly gather and act on guest feedback to continuously improve the marketing offerings. Develop and manage signage and display strategies to drive food & beverage, program, and merchandise sales. Develop year-long and seasonal global calendar and product set strategies, leading brainstorms and presenting plans to cross-functional teams. Develop and implement marketing campaigns to execute tactical promotions that drive revenue, traffic, and engagement. Ensure signage, decor, and all visual elements in Rally CLT feel aligned with brand standards. Lead and manage a small team of marketing professionals, ensuring motivation, engagement, and performance. Hire, manage, and brief external creatives on an as-needed basis. Collaborate with General Manager, Activations Manager, Pickleball Director, and Events team to build and execute marketing needs and campaigns. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing roles with a proven track record of executing successful campaigns. Strong understanding of digital channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and brand-aligned content across marketing channels. Strong leadership skills to inspire and manage a team in a fast-paced startup environment. Highly analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data and make data-driven decisions. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a willingness to test new approaches. Proactive self-starter who can prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Experience managing budgets. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications are a plus).
