Job Title: UX Designer

Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)

Duration: 2 Years (with an option for a 1-year extension)

Key Responsibilities:

UX/UI Design & Research: Develop wireframes, prototypes, user journey maps, and personas to enhance user experience. User-Centered Solutions: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and educational administrators to define and implement innovative UX solutions. Process Improvement: Identify and streamline administrative workflows to improve efficiency. Usability Testing: Conduct user research and A/B testing to validate design decisions and enhance functionality. Data-Driven Design: Utilize data analytics to assess usability, user engagement, and opportunities for digital enhancement. Adherence to Standards: Ensure designs align with brand guidelines, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), and industry best practices. Collaboration with PMO: Work with Project Management Office (PMO) teams to maintain project timelines, ensure tool adoption, and support risk mitigation. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between departments, SUNY campuses, and external vendors to ensure project requirements are met. Required Qualifications:

7+ years of UX design experience in higher education, government, or corporate projects. Strong expertise in wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and usability testing. Experience with user research methodologies, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), and UX best practices. Proficiency in UX/UI tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, UXPin, or similar) Strong understanding of business process improvement and data-driven decision-making. Knowledge of data analytics and its application in user experience design. Familiarity with PMO methodologies, risk assessment, and project management tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present UX solutions to stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on education administrative systems. Strong understanding of digital transformation in education. Familiarity with enterprise IT systems, CRM, or student management systems Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
