Senior Creative Producer at ESPN summary:

The Senior Creative Producer at ESPN Creative Studio oversees strategic creative vision and execution for digital, streaming, and marketing projects. This role involves enhancing workflows, optimizing processes, and fostering collaboration among diverse teams while implementing innovative strategies for content distribution. With over five years of experience, the producer is accountable for managing projects, facilitating stakeholder communication, and motivating creative professionals to ensure successful project completion.

The Creative Strategy and Integration team is part of the Visual Storytelling division of ESPN Creative Studio and is responsible for the strategic creative vision and execution plan for Creative Studio’s portfolio of work. We also create and optimize new and innovative workflows across digital, streaming, broadcast and marketing. The Senior Creative Producer is a strategic role is responsible for the execution of VS-wide optimization exercises and set-up of efficient process and strategy for D+ content. This role will have an emphasis on the continued support, advancement and innovation of how the ESPN brand travels within DTC initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director and Sr Director to identify innovative opportunities for increased efficiency in VS process and workflows.
  • Create new process and strategy around D+ shows and content to increase efficiency and accuracy of artwork distribution.
  • Lead discovery, process-mapping and stakeholder communication for optimization projects.
  • Conduct and organize research for projects in collaboration with creative leaders. Collect and analyze project takeaways in an accessible and user-friendly space.
  • Evaluate existing workflows, tools and software to identify technical spaces for increased integration.
  • Organize and run stakeholder and team meetings, setting each team member up for success with clear agendas, goals and next steps.
  • Forecast with the Senior Staff to build an LRP.
  • Accountable for strict adherence to established department procedures.
  • Motivate, educate, direct a team or individual Designers, Animators, Editors and others assigned to a project whether in-house, freelance or with an external production group.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of digital experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Understanding of process-mapping and visualizing workflows
  • User research or other stakeholder interview experience
  • Comfortable running large stakeholder meetings with an ability to communicate complicated processes in an accessible way
  • Experience with project management and workflow mapping tools, including Asana, Atlassian tools, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, etc.
  • Ability to work with a variety of different teams, from developers to creative teams to executive stakeholders
  • Very strong communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ESPN distribution points, including MVPDs and SVODs
  • Strong familiarity with the sports DTC industry and with ESPN’s place among the competition
  • General technical knowledge and some coding experience

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or above

The hiring range for this remote position is $98,564 to $132,220 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
