The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is seeking a creative and motivated Video Content Creator Intern for a temporary summer position. This role is ideal for a college student with a passion for video production, digital storytelling, and content creation. The intern will work with the MCSO Communications Unit to produce engaging video content that highlights MCSO employees, programs, services, and community initiatives.

Job Description:
The Video Content Creator Intern will play a key role in developing engaging, short-form video content for MCSO's social media channels and website. The intern will shadow sworn and non-sworn employees in their workplaces and in the field, as well as attend various community events and training exercises to capture footage.
They will work closely with the Public Information Officer and Communications team to film, edit, and refine videos, ensuring they accurately represent MCSO's operations. Through this process, the intern will gain hands-on experience in branding, messaging strategies, and digital media production in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, similar to a newsroom.
The intern is encouraged to bring their own skills, experience, and creativity to develop compelling visual storytelling strategies and videos.

- Basic understanding of video production techniques, including filming, lighting, and audio recording.
- Experience using professional cameras or mobile devices for video capture and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Outlook and Google Drive.

- Ability to capture compelling visuals and tell engaging stories through video.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work comfortably in a structured public safety environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to pass a criminal justice records check.
