Job Title: Grant Writer
Location: Remote
Job Overview:
We are seeking three experienced Grant Writers to join our team and help secure funding for initiatives in real estate development, affordable housing communities, sustainable living, eco-friendly housing, financial literacy programs, economic development, and financial services for low-income communities. The ideal candidates will have a strong track record of securing government and private grants and a passion for economic empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities aligned with our business goals.
Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals for funding opportunities related to:
Real estate development
Affordable housing communities
Sustainable and eco-friendly housing initiatives
Financial literacy programs
Economic development projects
Financial services and banking for low-income communities
Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
Ensure compliance with all funding requirements, application deadlines, and reporting guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, approvals, and reporting deadlines.
Stay informed on policy changes, funding trends, and best practices in grant writing.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
Strong research and analytical skills to identify and assess funding opportunities.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Knowledge of federal grant portals (SAM.gov, Grants.gov, HUD, USDA, CDFI Fund) and private funding sources.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently or collaboratively.
Experience with budgeting and financial reporting for grant applications is a plus.
