The LA Clippers are looking for a Lead Video Editor with outstanding storytelling ability, creative vision, and technical expertise in post-production. This role is crucial in developing organic digital content, marketing assets, and short-form and long-form video that align with team narratives and drives engagement. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in traditional editing techniques but also adept at using AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality.

You will work closely with the Director of Video Content and the Head of Content to craft compelling video pieces that fulfill sponsorship obligations, elevate the Clippers brand, and captivate audiences across multiple platforms—including Intuit Dome’s innovative double-sided HALO scoreboard.

This role requires a blend of artistic creativity, technical skill, and organizational structure to manage a high volume of projects while upholding a premium level of quality.

This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. The scope of this position encompasses a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation with the transition of numerous daily events. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.

What You Will Do

Video Production & Editing

  • Lead the editing process from concept through final delivery for digital, social, marketing, and in-game assets.
  • Complete fast-turnaround edits following live Clippers games and major NBA events.
  • Develop highly engaging content optimized for social media, implementing hooks, retention tactics, and storytelling standard processes.
  • Edit in a variety of styles, including documentary, commercial, hype videos, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create polished treatments, pitch decks, and storyboards to elevate pre-production planning.
  • If necessary, work with motion designers and colorists to enhance videos through advanced finishing techniques (color grading, compositing, sound design).
  • Actively integrate AI tools such as Runway, MidJourney, Firefly, PikaLabs, Topaz, ElevenLabs, Sora, and others into pre- and post-production workflows.
  • Use AI for automated transcription, motion tracking, scene generation, and content repurposing.
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in AI-driven editing and content creation technologies.

Content Strategy & Brand Storytelling

  • Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to align video projects with brand identity, storytelling objectives, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ideate and produce content tailored to the HALO scoreboard, ensuring it brings to bear its remarkable immersive display format.
  • Develop original content ideas based on team narratives, trending moments, and fan engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all video outputs and maintain deep knowledge of the Clippers’ history, players, and culture.

Workflow & Project Management

  • Maintain a detailed post-production calendar and manage multiple long-term projects simultaneously.
  • Work closely with the Media Manager to organize, tag, and distribute raw footage for efficient editing workflows.
  • Improve internal video production workflows, embracing new techniques and technologies to optimize efficiency.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying areas for innovation and process enhancement.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience as a lead video editor for a major brand, agency, or sports organization.
  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of motion graphics, color correction, sound design, and compositing.
  • Proficiency in AI-powered tools and an eagerness to experiment with new technology in post-production.
  • Knowledge of camera operations, lighting, and cinematography (a plus).
  • Experience with Unreal Engine or similar real-time rendering software is a plus, especially for creating virtual production environments, pre-vis, or advanced motion graphics.

Creative & Storytelling Skills

  • Portfolio demonstrating high-level storytelling, video editing, and stylistic innovation.
  • Ability to create visually compelling, emotionally engaging, and brand-aligned content.
  • Excellent understanding of social media trends, platform-specific standard processes, and digital storytelling techniques.
  • Experience editing stories derived from live sports and entertainment events.

About Intuit Dome:

Opening in August 2024, Intuit Dome is the new home of the LA Clippers and will host hundreds of sporting events and concerts each year. Located in Inglewood, Calif., Intuit Dome is built different -- it will redefine fans’ expectations for live experiences and change the music landscape in Los Angeles.

Set to host the 2026 NBA All-Star game, Intuit Dome is over 1 million square feet and features our team training center, business operations offices, five full-sized basketball courts, an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza and a double-sided Halo Board composed of more than an acre of LED.

Compensation

  • The range for this position is $90 - $100k annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The role is classified as exempt.
