WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Design Technician, you will be the mastermind behind creating immersive and visually stunning experiences for our guests. From designing and fabricating props, signage, and 3D elements to operating CNC routers and 3D printers, you’ll turn ideas into reality with precision and creativity. You will collaborate closely with the Entertainment team to develop and execute themed elements for attractions, seasonal events, and special projects. Utilizing software like Blender, Aspire, and Corel, you’ll prepare digital models, print layouts, and cutting files, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. Whether you're programming intricate designs, prepping large-format prints, or assembling fabricated elements, your expertise will shape the magic that makes Six Flags Fiesta Texas unforgettable.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

• Utilize Aspire software to program, operate, and maintain CNC routers for precision cutting and fabrication.
• Design, position, and resize 3D models using Blender for CNC machining and 3D printing.
• Prepare print and cut files using Corel, Photoshop, Rasterlink, and VersaWorks for signage and templates.
• Operate large-format printers and 3D printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and digital files for fabrication projects.
• Work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and foam, to bring creative concepts to life.
• Collaborate with the Entertainment and Design teams to develop innovative themed elements and scenic designs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Uphold strict safety and quality standards in all fabrication and design processes.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Proficiency in Aspire (CNC programming and operation experience required).
• Strong working knowledge of 3D design and fabrication processes.
• Experience with CNC routers, 3D printing, and large-format printing.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and digital models.
• Hands-on experience with woodworking, metalworking, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

OTHER NOTES:

• May perform other duties beyond scope outlined above as necessary to support the overall operation of the park.
• Reports directly to the Art & Sign Shop Foreman as well as the Manager of Entertainment.
