Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer/Production Artist is part of the Regional Creative Hub, supporting multiple Clear Channel Outdoor branches. The Graphic Designer supports the Art Directors and Regional Creative Leader working on concepts and designs for successful campaigns that generate revenue. They will also assist the sales team in developing concepts and creating effective designs and photo-realistic speculative art for sales proposals that are production-ready.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts, graphics, layouts, copy-writing, and execute effective designs.
  • Work with a variety of clients by preparing, correcting, modifying artwork and downloading files for production.
  • Acts as a creative adviser for clients on corporate identity and design standards, by using creative best practices and recommending the best design strategy that will meet the client’s needs.
  • Utilizes research of CCO digital image library, stock photography as well as client assets, including website, photography and logos in developing creative.
  • Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables with high attention to detail.
  • Communicate and refine agency or customer artwork before it is posted.
  • Prepare final image print-ready files to send to production.
  • Maintain a repository for all local and regional creative. Maintains and updates brand guidelines throughout collateral materials.
  • Designs graphics using Macintosh operating systems.
  • Follows policies and procedures set up by the local market management and corporate directives.
  • May travel to meet with clients regarding design or participate in sales calls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising Design, Graphic Design or Communication Design preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design preferred.
  • Possesses a current, relevant portfolio.

Skills

  • Thorough understanding of photography, typography, printing techniques and production process.
  • Exemplifies a balance of creativity, speed and accuracy with exceptional layout and design skills.
  • Manage numerous projects simultaneously and manage workflow with tight deadlines to ensure delivering work on time.
  • Anticipate feedback and changes. Is nimble and responsive in order to ensure all stakeholders are pleased with final artwork.
  • Be a self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
  • Be highly motivated and well organized.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally.
  • Work well as part of a team, with marketing and sales.
  • Have excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages (e.g., Creative Suite (CS), Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) as well as knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio and percent and to produce and interpret bar graphs.
  • Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
