Position Summary
The Director of Design and Construction plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of all development projects for CEO and City Winery, ensuring consistency and excellence across our portfolio. This position entails comprehensive oversight of the design and construction process, facilitating effective communication between various departments and local property teams. The primary objective is to translate the organization's vision into tangible, high-quality outcomes, surpassing expectations with each endeavor.

Overview of Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
Oversee all aspects of design and construction projects, coordinating efforts among internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Manage renovations to existing locations to ensure compliance with company standards.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the design and construction process, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Budget and Resource Management:
Manage project budgets and resources effectively, optimizing cost efficiency while delivering exceptional results.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with design and construction projects, proactively addressing issues to minimize disruption.
Stakeholder Engagement
: Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and local property teams, to facilitate collaboration and drive project success.
Innovation and Sustainability: Champion innovation and sustainability in design and construction practices, exploring opportunities for improvement and advancement.
Hiring of External Consultants
Identify and hire external consultants based on project needs.
Coordination and Management
Coordinate and manage all project-related consultants, vendors, and key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Grant Funding and Tax Incentives:
Research and secure grant funding and tax incentives for all ground-up projects.
Procurement and Compliance:
Procure all necessary general requirements per project and maintain site compliance, including permits, insurance, site security, landscaping, etc.
Branding and Conceptualization:
Work on branding and conceptualization of new F&B spaces to align with company standards and objectives.
Market Analysis & Financial
Lease Review:
Review and analyze lease agreements for new developments and renovations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Extensive experience (7+ years) in design and construction management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of design principles, building codes, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
