Job Description
My Arcade, the industry leader in retro video gaming, is looking to hire a talented Marketing Manager. The selected candidate will have a track record showcasing the ability to increase brand awareness, engagement, and boost conversions across diverse channels, including website, email, social media and beyond. The candidate will also be involved with press and social media/influencer outreach and relationship management, PR, tradeshows, public speaking, and sample coordination. The candidate will lead marketing campaigns for both new and existing products under our My Arcade® and bionik® brands and other assignments as needed. This position will report to the Vice President of Design and will be based onsite at our Torrance, CA office. Select candidate must be highly knowledgeable about retro video gaming and CPG and/or toy marketing.
Job Description:
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing and analyzing our marketing strategy to engage with our target audiences. We're seeking someone with extensive experience with Shopify websites, SEO/SEM, affiliate marketing, email marketing, PR, influencer outreach, external agency communication, and related tasks. We are a small, tight-knit team where you can make a meaningful contribution, while learning and growing.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and online growth.
Community Engagement: Foster and grow an active brand community by monitoring, responding to, and initiating meaningful interactions across social media platforms.
Influencer & Media Relations:
o Coordinate sample requests for media and influencer partnerships.
o Maintain and update media and influencer contact lists.
o Prepare and send care packages to media and influencers.
Copywriting: Write compelling copy for press releases, blog posts, email newsletters, and social media captions.
Competitive & Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on competitors, industry trends, and emerging marketing opportunities.
Budget & Procurement Management: Organize pricing and purchasing for marketing assets, including photoshoots, stock media (music/video), and other digital resources.
Event & Tradeshow Coordination: Tradeshow setup and represent the brand through public speaking engagements as needed.
Performance Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze digital marketing KPIs, providing actionable insights to optimize campaign performance.
Social Media Management:
o Manage and respond to social media comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.
o Develop and implement strategies for handling negative feedback and crisis situations.
Paid Advertising & Campaigns: Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media and web-based advertising campaigns.
Partnership Development: Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with key influencers and brand collaborators.
Administrative Management: Organize and coordinate marketing-related invoices and receipts across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, Klaviyo, and Shopify.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing of consumer products or toys.
- Comfortable working onsite at our Torrance, CA. office.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest related technology, software, apps, and programs.
- Proficiency with data-driven decision-making and social media analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills
