Your new role The Marketing Segment Lead - B2C is the leader and expert responsible for the overall delivery of the segment marketing strategy, being accountable for achieving targets and priorities that support B2C revenue goals and help deliver leads to the top of the B2B funnel.

Reporting to the VP of B2C Segment Marketing, this person will be a partner to the product, content, brand, and event teams. This leader collaborates to define and deliver on priorities, refine messaging, and execute marketing initiatives to:

Drive acquisition, conversion, and retention as well as direct appropriate groups of B2C users to the top of the B2B funnel in support of B2C2B programs Educate users about product features and releases in order to improve conversion and retention Align branding and messaging with end user needs Leverage data to understand strategic markets and drive strategy Broadly align B2C and B2B marketing strategies in support of the B2C2B pipeline The Marketing Segment Lead - B2C is central to the success of cross-functional efforts, ensuring alignment across teams and segments (corporate, institutional and government) and delivering impactful outcomes.

What you'll be doing

Acquisition, conversion, and retention:

Drive end user marketing initiatives, developing strategic audiences and targeting them with tailored messaging to drive acquisition, conversion and retention Ensure Digital Science has a purpose-oriented presence at important trade conferences and meetings, in coordination with Events Team with to drive brand awareness and enhance brand equity, provide user support and gather user feedback. Work with the product team to develop campaigns and experiments to optimize revenue Coordinate with product marketing, product teams, content, and thought leadership teams to produce content that addresses end user needs and ensure they are translated into marketing campaigns and activities. Strategic Planning:

Deliver a comprehensive marketing program to drive user acquisition, conversion, retention and revenue growth in the segment, in close collaboration with Segment marketing colleagues Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to drive process and strategy improvements, accountable for marketing KPIs and making data-driven recommendations for optimization, persona and targeting refinement Monitor and evaluate results for B2C and B2C2B experiments to refine and develop best practices for targeting, copy, personas, and more. Collaborate with B2B colleagues to identify opportunities to experiment and improve. Marketing planning, budgeting activities and forecasting in support of the VP, B2C segment marketing Customer/Industry Knowledge and Engagement:

Responsible for working with the team to create messaging, branding, landing pages, collateral, social content strategy, etc. that resonate with end users Continue to uncover and understand B2C buyer personas and how they feed into respective segments, in coordination with industry-level work by Competitive Intelligence team Support the development of customer advisory boards and customer roundtables, with a goal of understanding customer drivers and challenges, as well as growing a Digital Science image as a key industry player Own product or segment newsletters that aim to improve user awareness of products and features, cross promote products, and establish the DS B2C brand positioning Events:

Identify which events would maximize reach Identify trainers for workshops and work with them to develop content Support in the development of Digital Science proprietary events focused on driving engagement and awareness of multiple Digital Science products Segment Marketing Success:

A key contributor to the Marketing Team, collaborating to implement high impact cross-segment initiatives Focused on supporting operational consistencies across segment marketing strategy, planning, execution and reporting activities to drive success What you'll bring to the role

Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2C SaaS companies. Proven track record of developing and executing innovative marketing campaigns for B2C SaaS companies. Strong understanding of growth marketing tactics. Familiarity with the scholarly research publishing process, preferred. Creative marketing abilities with excellent persuasive writing skills. Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools, such as Eloqua, Pardot, or similar. Hands-on experience with Asana or other project management tools Extensive experience of working within a matrix organisation, demonstrating strong collaborative and stakeholder management skills A self-starter with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude toward problem-solving and project management.
