6-Year BPA (with potential for additional Task Orders) Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled
Web Developer Contractor
with expertise in Drupal to support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Web Agility Program Support Services (WA3). The developer will work on redesigning, migrating, and developing web applications and websites within the DOT Drupal CMS environment, ensuring accessibility compliance and optimal user experience. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and websites in the
Drupal CMS environment
(Drupal 8/9/10). Lead website redesign and migration projects from legacy CMS platforms to Drupal. Ensure

WCAG 2.0 AA
compliance for all web content and interfaces. Implement and maintain SEO best practices, metadata tagging, and web analytics integration (Google Analytics/Tag Manager). Develop custom themes and modules to meet DOTs requirements. Collaborate with the Integrator Contractor Lead and DOT stakeholders on project priorities and deliverables. Provide user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation, and post-launch support. Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Qualifications:
5+ years
of Drupal web development experience, including Drupal 8/9/10. 2+ years
experience with federal government web projects, including familiarity with federal digital standards and mandates. Bachelors degree
in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field. Acquia Certified Drupal Developer
or equivalent certification highly preferred. Proficiency in
HTML5 ,
CSS3 ,
JavaScript , and
PHP . Experience with
Section 508
/
WCAG 2.0 AA
accessibility compliance testing and remediation. Familiarity with
Jira ,
ServiceNow , or similar Agile project management tools. Knowledge of
SEO
principles and
web analytics
integration (Google Analytics, Tag Manager). Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
