Job Description The Content Writer plays a key role in creating content for the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, serving as a writer, editor, and researcher. This position collaborates with Business Development, Communications, and Marketing and Branding Technology teams, as well as firm and practice group leaders, to produce impactful print and digital content for internal and external audiences.
Job Responsibilities
Takes a leading role in drafting and editing: Practice and industry content for the firm’s website “About the Firm” content for print and digital formats Materials to support lateral recruiting conversations Editorial content for the firm’s social media channels, particularly LinkedIn Significant thought leadership projects, including surveys and white papers Firm descriptions for list/directory ads (e.g., profiles in Vault and Chambers) Internal good news emails to promote recent client successes Firm news and collaboration case studies for the website Significant firm and lawyer award submissions Marketing materials such as brochures and one-pagers Firm advertising copy Partners with Recruiting and DEI teams on projects, including DEI-focused content, recruiting materials, and other digital/print pieces to advance strategic objectives. Collaborates with the Communications team to promote significant client successes and notable developments. Works with the Branding and Marketing Technology team to transform content into visually impactful digital and print materials.
Qualifications Excellent writing and editing experience is required, with a proven record of content creation and copyediting. Understanding of AP writing style is required. Demonstrated ability to communicate creatively, clearly, and effectively—both orally and in writing—with attorneys, staff, and vendors, requiring creativity, discretion, and persuasive skills. Proven ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic, complex environment, meeting deadlines and daily requirements. Ability to provide quality client service to internal and external contacts on complex matters and build effective relationships. Required experience in one or more of the following: journalism, public relations/public affairs, digital communications (web, social media, blogging), or internal communications. Ability to research diverse topics via web/library searches, interviews, and other methods, translating findings into strategically written collateral. Comfortable making presentations to small and/or large groups effectively. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for producing memos, spreadsheets, slides, and standard documents. Understanding of digital customer journeys and SEO strategy is desired. Ability to track and evaluate analytics to demonstrate the effectiveness of communications efforts. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Education Requires a Bachelor’s Degree. A focus in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications is strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may substitute for education.
Experience Requires a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience demonstrating applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in law firm communications, business development, marketing departments, public relations agencies, or media newsrooms is desired.

Pay Statement and Pay Transparency Laws:
The rate of pay listed is on a per hour basis. You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions. Once both qualifiers are met you must complete the enrollment packet and your benefits will start on the first of the subsequent month.
